Increasing Nvidia LHR Graphics Cards Hashrate W...

No, LHR GPU is not good for mining. The purpose of LHR is to lower the hash rate and make your GPU less appealing to crypto miners. The LHR GPU is meant to stabilize the prices for graphics cards since the effects of the cryptocurrency gold rush.

Increasing Nvidia LHR Graphics Cards Hashrate w...

Overall, the only major difference between LHR and non-LHR GPU is the hash rate and limitations for crypto miners. With the demand for GPU increasing and resulting in price inflation, NVIDIA created LHR cards to stabilize the market. Let us know in the comments which GPU you prefer to use.

At the beginning of 2021 during CES (RIP), NVIDIA laid claim that they would be releasing a new generation of 30 series RTX graphics cards destined to have half the expected mining rate of standard 30 series cards in some misguided wisdom that this would make gamers happy. It has been just under a year since then and the mining community has managed to partially bypass the limits that would conventionally see around a 40 MH/s hashrate upped back up to around the 76-82 MH/s mark which results in around 67-71% of the potential hashrate on a RTX 3080 Ti from the around 45% it normally has when LHR is triggered.

This all begun somewhat unknowingly with the release of the RTX 3060. It was reported in early February by media outlets that these new cards may potentially be limited in hashrate. On February 18, 2021, NVIDIA officially announced that they would halve the hashrate for the GeForce RTX 3060 in the article titled "GeForce Is Made for Gaming, CMP Is Made to Mine".

Just under 2 weeks after that article NVIDIA announced the RTX 3080 Ti and 3070 Ti, both of which had the rumour mill swirling with expectations that these cards would be limited in hashrate, once the cards made it into the hands of media, it was confirmed that these GPU's were in fact hashrate limited as well.

From here the article quoted for this post contains a dual GPU test with 2x RTX 3080 Ti's that are both LHR cards. It gets very detailed and even includes the batch file flags used in the test along with their own refinements to get their desired hashrate using different specific LHR unlock methods as described on lolMiner's GitHub page on how to setup the LHR unlock. 041b061a72
